Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Services (7-Month FTC)

We are partnering with one of Australia's largest payments platform that currently sits at the intersection of retail, financial services, and technology. With an increasing emphasis on scalability, commercialisation, and product innovation this is an exciting time to join the business. This Senior Financial Analyst role is a hands‐on, end-to-end role combining financial reporting, commercial analysis, and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping how financial insights drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and enhance financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
* Drive improvements to reporting frameworks to reflect a growing payments business
* Support month-end close processes and reporting deliverables
* Assist with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements (ANZ)
* Deliver meaningful insights to support decision‐making and business growth
* Conduct business performance reviews and identify opportunities for optimisation
* Support cost of doing business (CODB) and CAPEX tracking
* Partner with Product, Technology, and Group Finance teams to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
* Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives including improving processes, reporting accuracy, and data integrity
About You
* 4‐5+ years' experience in Business Analysis, FP&A, or Commercial Finance
* CA/CPA qualified
* Intermediate to advanced Excel essential (formulas)
* Experience working in multi‐entity or complex business structures with a fast‐paced, evolving environment
* Exposure to financial services, fintech, or SaSS environments highly regarded
* Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence outcomes
* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data
* Experience with SAP, Power BI, or large data sets
