Job Title: Manager Active Transport Strategy
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our active transport strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that promote walking and cycling across NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the Future Transport Strategy and delivery of actions outlined in the Active Transport Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with leading the strategic direction for walking and cycling in New South Wales to deliver on the Future Transport Strategy and actions outlined in the Active Transport Strategy.
* Support the establishment of planning, funding and delivery of walking and cycling infrastructure framework that aligns with the NSW Government's strategic direction, customer and community needs.
* Oversee the development of guidelines, processes and procedures to help evaluate walking and cycling investment programs as well as projects with walking and cycling components to ensure alignment and support NSW Government priorities through collaboration with a range of stakeholders.
* Manage Active Transport's inputs into high-profile initiatives to help ensure and integrate desired walking and cycling outcomes form part of land use and transport infrastructure projects.
* Support the enablement of capability improvements within local government and other partners to support the delivery of active transport initiatives by directing research and promoting and disseminating best practices.
