Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Science Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental testing group, you will be responsible for conducting environmental tests to monitor compliance with EPA license conditions.
The Role:
* Perform environmental tests using standard lab instrumentation and techniques
* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of analytical results
* Assist with calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment
* Follow OH&S and environmental procedures at all times
* Report hazards, incidents, or near misses and contribute to a safe work culture
* Participate in team training and knowledge-sharing activities
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Science (Mandatory) – Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related
* Laboratory experience in NATA lab dealing with water testing
* Experience with wastewater testing methods used across the industry
* Basic understanding of chemistry and familiarity with instruments such as UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Atomic Absorption, Ion/Gas Chromatography, ICP, FTIR, AOX, Autotitrators, or Mercury Meters
* Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
