The Role
As a Control Systems Engineer at Foodmach, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and commissioning control systems that drive automation and efficiency in packaging and manufacturing lines. You'll be working on high-profile projects for major FMCG clients, ensuring that systems are fully integrated, operational and optimised.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated manufacturing and packaging lines.
* Lead and manage end-to-end control system projects from concept to commissioning.
* Develop functional specifications, technical documentation, and project reports.
* Troubleshoot and provide technical support for control system issues.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to deliver turnkey solutions.
* Drive continuous improvements in system design, programming, and project execution.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
About You
We're looking for an experienced engineer with a track record of success in control systems for industrial automation. You're a problem-solver, a team player and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk, Citect)
* Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
* Knowledge of ERP/MES systems.
* Strong understanding of machine safety standards and electrical design.
* Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Willingness to travel to client sites for commissioning and support.
* Valid Driver's Licence
* Work authorisation for Australia
