NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Since 2009. Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and it offers all the facilities you would expect in a large regional town. This is a permanent position on an 12/9 or 8/6 roster - 12-hour days to join our Pajingo operation located in Charters Towers.
Job description:
About the role:
- Prepare, maintain, and certify mine plans as required by the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (1999) and Regulations (2017).
- Void Officer as per the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act (1999) and Regulations (2017).
- Ensure grid system is maintained at the mine as required.
- Maintain and validate survey database.
- All underground surveys
- Assist with surface survey
- Manage the surveyor function administrative requirements.
- Maintain effective cost control measures in all areas of responsibility.
- Conduct project work as required by the Mining Manager and to the agreed standard.
- Support the Mining team with the preparation of operational reports.
- Assist as appropriate in the mine scheduling and forecasting process.
- Monitor and manage all survey activities including personnel and safety-related activities and issues.
- Report on survey activities to the Senior Surveyor
- Develop budgets and forecasts relating to survey requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date plans of the entire site to ensure all statutory obligations are met.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in surveying
- Advance user of Deswik
- At least 2 years of underground experience
