R&D Tax Consultant

We're seeking a qualified R&D Tax Consultant to support Australian businesses in unlocking R&D Tax Incentives (R&DTI), grants, and awards.
Responsibilities
* Lead Qualification: Work with the sales team to review leads and identify potential R&DTI clients.
* Client engagement: Conduct discovery meetings with the sales team and clients to assess R&DTI eligibility and scope core and supporting activities.
* Application Management: Prepare technical documentation and financial expenditure calculations aligned with AusIndustry and ATO requirements.
* Meet with clients and collect required information; prepare R&DTI application project plans and manage submissions.
* Analysis of financial reports and underlying data to prepare R&DTI expenditure calculations for ATO schedules.
* Advise on and collate substantiation for technical and financial components of claims; ensure clients have required documentation.
* Account Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, educate on record keeping and compliance.
* Revenue Growth: Identify other eligible grants and assist with grant applications where appropriate.
* Administration: Facilitate agreements, provide ongoing reporting and compliance, and coordinate invoicing with the finance team.
* Specialised Knowledge: Support the wider FundFindrs team on qualifying opportunities and provide R&D advice to a range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.
* Policy monitoring: Stay up to date with legislative changes and portal updates.
* Adhoc & Admin: Support the team with other grant and client-related administration as required.
Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience preparing and lodging R&D Tax Incentive applications across a range of industries.
* In-depth knowledge of the R&D Tax Incentive program and DISR / AusIndustry and ATO compliance expectations.
* Clear, professional writing skills to document technical or operational activities.
* A team player with strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with internal teams and clients.
* Independent worker able to manage deadlines and multiple projects.
* Nice to have: Experience with other government grants, state funding bodies, or innovation agencies.
