Details: The Senior Director, Professional Standards, Registration Services and Strategic Initiatives is accountable for the planning, governance and delivery of selected strategic initiatives for the Teacher Quality Institute. This includes challenging and guiding the Chief Executive Officer and TQI Board on considerations and delivery of initiatives across policy and operations, ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance while delivering improved efficiency, transparency and outcomes.

The Senior Director is also accountable for the delivery of key Executive Office functions, including corporate and ministerial reporting, work health and safety coordination, financial management and budget oversight. The role provides high-level advice to the TQI Board and Chief Executive Officer, ensures strong stakeholder engagement, and maintains a focus on quality, risk management and timely outcomes.

The Senior Director will manage and lead several direct reports and support the leadership of a team which works in a hybrid office/remote work environment.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in policy development, analysis, project management and governance will be highly regarded, as will in-depth knowledge and understanding of teacher standards, teacher registration and legislation.

Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
