About Our Schools
The Department of Education supports over 34,000 students across 153 government schools in the NT. Our schools are rich in diversity, with 14,000+ Aboriginal students and nearly half of all students speaking a language other than English.
Teaching Responsibilities
* Develop engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum to cater for diverse student needs
* Create inclusive classrooms that foster student wellbeing and learning through effective behaviour management and positive relationships
* Assess, track and report on student progress, providing valuable insights for teachers and families
* Engage with families and communities as part of your teaching practice to enhance student outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications
* Registration with the Teacher Registration Board NT or eligibility to register
* Able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
* Proof of LANTITE test completion if teacher education was completed after July 2016
