Empowering First Nations Communities

We are seeking a dedicated Support Practitioner - Identified to join our team in delivering culturally safe and inclusive care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families. This role presents an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable communities and break the cycle of over-representation in out-of-home care.

The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline, with applied knowledge and understanding of child protection frameworks and contemporary challenges faced by Indigenous peoples. They will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities, building trust and rapport with families and carers. As a skilled practitioner, they will deliver case management and tailored support services, promoting healing, resilience, and well-being within these communities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management and tailored support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.

- Deliver culturally inclusive programs that promote healing, resilience, and well-being.

Requirements:
- A degree qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline (or equivalent level of expertise).
- Applied knowledge and understanding of child protection frameworks and contemporary challenges faced by Indigenous peoples.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.
- Experience in child protection, community services, or supporting vulnerable children and families.
