* Base Salary Range: $76,561 - $80,256 p.a

About the Role:

As the Aboriginal Engagement and Development Officer, you will be accountable to the Director Aboriginal Health and play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing consultation and community engagement processes across the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network. You will support and coordinate multiple projects, programs, and initiatives that promote best-practice, holistic approaches to health, while strengthening relationships between health services, communities, and key stakeholders. This role involves providing support to health teams and committees, coordinating significant cultural events such as Reconciliation activities, NAIDOC Week, and the Flinders Family Fun Day, and contributing to meaningful community connection. You will also assist in the development and monitoring of Action and Quality Improvement Plans aligned with key state and national frameworks, including the Cultural Respect Framework, Reconciliation Action Plan, Aboriginal Workforce Framework, and Aboriginal Health Impact Statements. This is an impactful opportunity to support culturally safe practice, promote Aboriginal self-determination, and contribute to positive, sustainable health outcomes for Aboriginal communities across the region.

About You:

* Experience in community engagement and working with people from diverse cultures especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities.
* Experience in program/project management including planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
* Experience in liaising with public and private health services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and other sectors that impact upon health e.g. housing, community council, education.
* Experience in data collection/use and analysis.
