With the occasional day-travel to other parts of our service regionMore Information & Position Description via this link: the Role:Working as part of the broader Primary Health team, theSeniorChild Health Nurse will deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed, and culturally safe Child Health and Development Checks (CHDCs) for children aged birth to 5 years.
The role supports early identification of health and developmental concerns, provides tailored advice and referrals, and contributes to improved outcomes for children and families, particularly in priority cohorts including Aboriginal, CALD, and regional communities.This role will have theadditionalresponsibilities of beingthe senior clinician within the team.
This will includebeing a clinical escalation point for theteam of Child Health Nurses andChildHealth Assistants, stakeholder engagement, and to support theinitialprogram implementation phase.Experience Requirements:Minimum 3 years' experienceworking with children aged birth to 5 years in health, early childhood, or community settings.Experience conducting developmental screenings or health assessments.Experience in using electronic medical records and data management tools.Desirable:Experience working in rural communities.Desirable:Experience working with Aboriginal and/or CALD communities.Desirable:Experience in service navigation and referral coordination.Qualification and Other Requirements:Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)Post graduate qualification in child and family health (or equivalent).
