On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

Mandatory Requirements
* Entitlement to work within Australia
* A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
* Provision of valid Working with Children Check
* Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
* Registration with Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA)
* Demonstrated leadership ability with a clear understanding of the managerial responsibilities of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and/or Associate Midwifery Unit Manager
* Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency/Critical Care
* Advanced Life Support Credentialled – Adult and Paediatric
* Attends and actively contributes to local team meetings assisting the Unit Manager to
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and consultatively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all major stakeholders both internal and external ability to problem solve and make decisions in a variety of complex situations
