The Opportunity:
This is a chance to lead the delivery of large-scale vertical construction projects within a long-term infrastructure program in Darwin. You’ll be managing the build of complex operational facilities including large steel structures, industrial buildings, and critical support infrastructure.
Working with a well-established international contractor, you’ll take ownership of major project packages from planning through to delivery. The program runs through to 2028, offering genuine stability, strong project continuity, and the opportunity to lead technically challenging builds that require precision planning and strong leadership.
This role suits a Project Manager who enjoys being close to the action — someone comfortable leading site teams, driving programmes, and coordinating multiple subcontractors to deliver high-value construction projects on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of vertical construction packages including large industrial buildings and operational facilities.
* Lead project planning and scheduling using Primavera P6 to ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
* Manage subcontractors, consultants, and on-site teams across multi-trade construction activities.
* Oversee project delivery including cost, risk, schedule, and quality management.
* Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across project teams and delivery partners.
* Ensure strict safety, compliance, and quality standards are maintained throughout the build.
What You’ll Bring:
* Proven experience delivering large-scale vertical construction projects such as industrial facilities, hangars, warehouses, or operational buildings.
* Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 for project planning and scheduling.
* Demonstrated leadership managing subcontractors and complex site teams.
* A track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.
* Comfortable working site-based in Darwin within a structured and highly regulated project environment.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering projects involving large steel structures or aviation/industrial facilities.
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
