Click on the video below to learn more! The Role The Governance Manager plays a key role in embedding and continuously enhancing NGS Super’s governance framework. This position ensures the consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery of governance practices across the Fund, aligned with regulatory requirements and best practice. Working closely with the Company Secretary and Board Directors, the role supports Board and Committee operations, governance systems, policy management, and broader governance initiatives. What you’ll do • Drive quality, consistency, and timeliness of Board and Committee papers through proactive stakeholder engagement. • Coordinate end-to-end Board and Committee operations, including calendars, agendas, and meeting workflows. • Manage all meeting logistics, including Director coordination, travel, and virtual participation requirements. • Support Director onboarding and induction to ensure strong engagement from day one. • Oversee Director professional development plans, tracking, and reporting. • Coordinate Board and Committee performance, competency, and fit & proper assessments. • Act as a key point of contact for Director queries, including governance matters and expense processes. • Manage and enhance governance systems, including the Board Portal (Diligent) and documentation repositories. • Maintain governance registers (including actions, resolutions, work plans, conflicts, interests, and gifts) while supporting efficient meeting execution and ensuring regulatory filings remain up to date. • Lead policy and delegations management, including review cycles, updates, and register maintenance. • Drive continuous improvement through governance uplift initiatives, education, and advisory support. About you A detail-oriented governance professional with strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy, you will bring the following: • Formal governance or related qualifications. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a governance, risk, or compliance role. • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, with strong attention to detail. • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities. • Solid understanding of the Superannuation or Financial Services industry and relevant regulatory frameworks. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Qualifications in Law, Business, Finance or Marketing are nice to have but not essential.
