About the role:
Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting business operations? We are seeking a dedicated Store Manager to lead our Worklocker Ballina team. In this position, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth functioning of this new and dynamic business. You'll work closely with the owner and be a key part of the day-to-day running of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock management and Logistics
Take the lead on keeping our shelves stocked and ready – manage our stock and ordering with efficiency and keep things organised. You'll be the go to for keeping things flowing smoothly behind the scenes.
POS System
Learn the ins and outs of our point of sales systems – creating purchase orders, managing incoming and outgoing stock in the system and troubleshooting issues. Our POS system requires proficient technology-based skills and a knack for system-based processes.
Communication and Coordination
Be the first point of contact for customer and sales representative inquiries via phone and email. You'll handle questions and reply promptly in both shopfront and email/phone correspondence. Being able to be clear, friendly and reliable in communication is key.
Spreadsheets and Admin
You will help keep spreadsheets up to date and informative, in areas such as customer orders and warranty claims. As well as have proficiency in the Microsoft office suite to handle admin tasks.
Retail Sales and Customer Service
You will play a key role on the shopfloor. Welcoming customers, determining what their needs are, and helping them to achieve the right outcome that suits them. Whether it's answering a quick question, offering product advice or handling transactions, you'll bring a friendly, helpful attitude to every interaction. You will also support team members and the owner with day-to-day tasks, helping to create a positive and reliable work environment.
Store Presentation, Merchandising and Marketing
Help keep the shop looking sharp – clean, tidy and well merchandised. You'll also be driving the development of new promotions and marketing ideas to keep things fresh and appealing to customers.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous Retail or store management experience
* A proactive and hands on approach to work
* Great communication skills, strong attention to detail and organisation
* Confidence and proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in the use of POS systems (Retail Express experience is a bonus)
* Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
