About The Role
The Food Services Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the overall well‑being of residents by enhancing their dining experiences. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere during mealtimes and work to ensure residents receive nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
* Assist in meal preparation – chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of a Cook or Head Chef.
* Serve meals to residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Set up dining areas before mealtimes, ensuring tables are clean and all necessary items are in place.
* Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment; maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area; help clean kitchen surfaces and storage areas.
* Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests.
Skills & Experience
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* Adaptable, passionate and eager to learn.
* Collaborative team player.
* Strong, effective communication skills.
