About This Opportunity
Join the University of Queensland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in a collaborative, high‐performing research environment. You will advance predictive breeding technologies, contribute to high‐quality research outputs, and develop an emerging research profile in quantitative genetics and plant breeding.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and enhance the EasiGP software pipeline and conduct collaborative research to advance ensemble‐based genomic prediction methodologies, including analysis of large‐scale Arabidopsis datasets and training researchers in software application.
* Contribute to high‐quality research outcomes through publications, competitive funding applications, collaborative projects, research translation, and the development of an emerging research profile in predictive breeding technologies.
* Supervise, mentor, and develop Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, fostering researcher capability and professional growth.
* Support and manage supervisee and research staff performance, including coaching, feedback and resolution of workplace issues in line with University policies and procedures.
* Demonstrate collaborative leadership and strong citizenship aligned with UQ values through active participation in service, committee, operational and partnership activities across the University and broader community.
About You
* Completion or near completion of a PhD in the relevant discipline.
* An emerging research profile in the discipline area.
* Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
* Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
* Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
