ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Yard & Machine Care Assistant who will be required to conduct wash functions, refueling and lubrication activities at our Wagga Wagga Branch. You are responsible for the presentation and quality of the equipment as it moves through the yard process. The role ensures equipment orders meet the required timelines while always adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Commitment to safe operating practices, including adhering to environmental standards
* Facilitate the machine care function by washing and detailing the interior and exterior of equipment and ensuring the presentation meets a high standard
* Ensure wash facilities are cleaned and maintained daily, and wash consumables are adequately stocked
* Carry out lubrication top ups and refuelling as required during the off hire process
* Competency operating various equipment throughout the yard and workshop
* Managing the overall yard space cleanliness and presentation
* Driving continuous improvement and supporting a harmonious work environment
* Participate in and/or proactively engage in staff training (as required)
* Support the broader rental team during leave coverage or times of surge e.g. inspections, logistics support etc
About You
* 2+ years in a similar role
* Have some knowledge of earthmoving equipment
* Commitment to health, safety and environmental processes
* Experience working within a results driven team
* Possess basic computer skills - including familiarity with tablets/ipads.
* Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent presentation, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to confidently operate a range of earthmoving equipment
* Have a forklift license (preferred)
