Role Overview
The Department of Health-Tasmania invites applications for a specialist mental health role in the Older Persons Mental Health Rapid Access Service (OPMHS RAS).
This in-reach service provides timely support to residents in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) experiencing severe Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD).
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure comprehensive clinical services through assessment, case management, and individual therapies.
* Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with complex mental health issues.
* Act as an active member of a multidisciplinary team, offering support and consultation to colleagues as needed.
Requirements
* Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage clinical activities within a multidisciplinary adult inpatient mental health team.
* Specialist knowledge and advanced practice in acute inpatient psychiatry.
* Capacity to undertake a leadership role within a multidisciplinary inpatient setting, providing supervision and support to staff.

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse with a postgraduate mental health qualification or equivalent.
* Current Driver's Licence.
