We’re looking for a reliable, detail-driven Finance & Bookkeeping Officer who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys structure, and thrives in a role that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Your Role in a Nutshell
You’ll be at the centre of our financial operations—keeping everything organised, compliant, and efficient so our wider team can focus on supporting the incredible individuals we work with.
Key Responsibilities/Core Duties:
* Transaction tracking and accurate data entry
* Bank and account reconciliations
* Invoicing and professional follow-ups
* Accounts payable and receivable management
* Payroll processing (wages, superannuation, STP)
* BAS preparation and GST support (externally lodged)
* Monthly reporting and insights
* Strong spreadsheet skills
* Maintaining clean, audit-ready financial records
* Managing finance-related communications
* Payment processing and tracking
* Identifying and improving internal systems and processes
NDIS-Focused Responsibilities
* Accurate invoicing using NDIS line items
* Ensuring invoices align with service agreements
* Monitoring participant budgets
* Maintaining compliance with NDIS requirements
* Tracking claims across NDIA, plan-managed, and self-managed participants
* Liaising with support coordinators and internal teams
* Maintaining clear, audit-ready documentation
* Contributing ideas to improve systems and workflows
About You
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
* Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll
* Strong working knowledge of Xero
* Reliable, organised, and proactive
* Clear and confident communication skills
* Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping preferred
* Experience in NDIS or service-based industries is highly regarded
* A great sense of humour and positive attitude
Employment Details
* Hourly rate: $39–$45 (depending on experience)
* Casual with flexible working arrangements (you will set the days you work minus payroll day is set)
* Paid under the Clerks Private Sector Award
* Starting at 15 hours per week - chances of hours increase after training phase of organisation
