Job Description About the role
AFF is seeking a Farm Hand to join our team at Milo, located approximately 18 km north of Moree, NSW. Milo is a large-scale row-crop farming operation, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in broadacre agriculture.
The position will commence with a 6 month trial period, with the opportunity to progress to a permanent full-time role based on performance. No prior farming experience is required, as on-site training will be provided. This role is well suited to someone keen to learn, develop practical skills, and build a long-term career in agriculture.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating farm machinery and equipment.
* Assisting with irrigation management and monitoring.
* Supporting weed control and crop maintenance activities.
* Carrying out workshop tasks and general farm maintenance.
Working hours may include periods of extended days (up to 12 days straight, with a maximum of 12 hours per day), depending on seasonal and operational requirements.
