A major Australian organisation is seeking a Senior AWS Engineer with expert EKS experience. Initially this will be a 12 month contract highly likely to extend. The role can be based out of Sydney or Melbourne with 2 days in the office.
Responsibilities
* Design, build and automate AWS foundation services, security, compliance, and cost optimisation for AWS services and the platform.
* Lead the architecture and management of Kubernetes platforms using Amazon EKS.
* Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications.
* Lead the build and deployment of automated AWS‐enabled application environments, patterns, tools, and platforms.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of the AWS service by participating in project delivery.
* Build and manage CI/CD pipelines.
* Deploy enterprise controls from AWS policies and implement enterprise logging and monitoring of solutions.
Key Skills / Experience
* Experience in AWS architecture styles, design principles, cloud design patterns, security and compliance automation, automated provisioning and deployments.
* Expert‐level experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes in production environments.
* Tech Lead / consulting experience.
* Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
* Expert Terraform experience.
* Customer engagement, relationship development, requirements gathering and delivery planning & scheduling.
* Understanding of microservices architecture and supporting technology.
* Experience in Agile methodologies.
