Electoral Commission SA is expanding the team as we prepare to plan and deliver one of South Australia's largest logistical events, the 2026 State election.

The Project Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and project coordination support to assist in the successful implementation of legislative reforms for early voting and telephone-assisted voting for the 2026 state and First Nations Voice to Parliament elections by undertaking a range of administrative and project activities and tasks associated with the development and operational delivery of the relevant election projects.
Reporting To The Senior Project Officer, Key Responsibilities Include
* Providing project support services that contribute to the delivery of project outcomes, including preparation of correspondence, reports and briefs, coordinating resources, and maintaining documentation.
* Supporting the research and analysis of information pertaining to assigned projects, particularly where there are no established processes or documentation.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of processes and work instructions that support election project planning and provide assistance in their administration and operationalisation.
* Liaising with stakeholders regarding project processes and work instructions to ensure the efficient exchange of information.
* Undertaking discrete, or components of larger, projects, that contribute to the operational delivery of relevant election projects.
* Supporting senior project staff in the delivery of project tasks and activities to ensure timelines are met.
Special Conditions
* This role is offered temporary term basis up to 12 months.
* In order not to compromise the strict neutrality of the Commission, no person who is active in political affairs or intends to carry on this activity may be an employee.
* Employment is dependent upon a criminal history check that the Commission finds satisfactory.
* Extensive out of normal working hours duty may be required during the period of an election.
* Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Remuneration
* ASO4 – $76,561 to $80,256 per annum
