Our Government client requires two ServiceNow Developers to assist the ASK Assistance and Service Kiosk/ServiceNow Technical Lead to develop and deliver platform solutions required for the 24/25 financial year workplan. This role is to provide platform support, solutions and advice across configuration, development and maintenance services for the Enterprises Service management and workflow automation platform, ASK.
This role is based on-site in Canberra and is an initial 6 months contract to start in January 2025. It is an essential requirement that you hold an active NV1 clearance.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develop, configure, and customise the ServiceNow platform to best fit business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements.
Assess platform requirements from business areas; explore/research/test ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities to exhaust existing application options before progressing with custom builds.
Conduct code reviews and quality control checks to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Develop scoped applications, flows, scripts, and other UI elements for custom solutions and out-of-the-box enhancements in ServiceNow.
Provide guidance on platform growth and development, in collaboration with the ServiceNow technical lead and development team.
Conduct solution demonstrations and presentations to agency stakeholders.
Debug and resolve technical issues.
Create and execute test cases to ensure software quality.
Document code and application functionality, including drafting Functional Design Specifications.
Stay updated on emerging ServiceNow development trends and technologies.
Conduct knowledge transfer on administration and development within the ServiceNow platform.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years' experience in ServiceNow development.
ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator) certification.
Proficiency in scripting, workflows, and integrations within ServiceNow.
Experience with ServiceNow out-of-the-box applications, especially SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management).
Experience with Agile or Waterfall development methodologies is desirable.
Familiarity with ITSM and ITOM processes is desirable.
Experience with ServiceNow Procurement applications or workflows is desirable.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder communication.
Ability to demonstrate solutions to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
ServiceNow CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) or higher certification is desirable.
