Orange High School has proudly provided high quality learning experiences to students in Central Western NSW for over 100 years. Today, we educate up to 1000 students, 13% of which are Aboriginal, from within the regional city of Orange and its rural surroundings on Wiradjuri country.
Our teachers are invested in our students' success. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every student is engaged. Teachers have the opportunity to guide students in discovering their talents and reminding our youth that they can make change.
Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Geography (7-12), Legal Studies and Society and Culture/International Studies
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the HSIE faculty to develop effective and engaging teaching and learning programs for a diverse range of learners.
- Demonstrated ability to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
- Capacity to implement the Department of Education Aboriginal Education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
