Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative research professional to join our team in conducting innovative field-based weed science research. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Weed Management Initiative, applying their expertise in field experimentation, weed science, and data analysis to generate impactful findings that inform best practices in agriculture.
This full-time, five-year research position focuses on supporting sustainable management of herbicide resistant weeds. The candidate will work within a dynamic and supportive research team, with strong connections to farmers, industry stakeholders, and other research organisations across Australia.
* Conduct field experimentation and data analysis to identify effective strategies for managing herbicide resistant weeds.
* Collaborate with researchers from other organisations, farming systems groups or with farmers to advance knowledge and understanding of weed science.
* Publish research in peer-reviewed journals to disseminate findings and contribute to the development of best practices in agriculture.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Weed Science, Agricultural Science or a related field, with demonstrated skills in field experimentation, statistical analysis, and collaborative research. Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
