Step inside life at Tyro here.About the role:The Payroll and HRIS Administrator at Tyro, you'll work closely with the Payroll and People Operations Lead to process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.You'll administer and maintain payroll and HR information systems such as Workday, ADP, and CultureAmp, ensuring data integrity and privacy.What you'll do:Payroll Processing (70%) - Work with the Payroll and People Operations Lead to: Process ad hoc payments and monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Calculate and process wages, salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, and superannuation contributions.
Manage leave entitlements, including annual leave, sick leave, and long service leave.
Prepare and submit payroll reports, including STP submission, EOFY and workers' compensation declarations.
Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
Work closely with Finance on payroll related banking and payment activities.
Process payroll variations.
Process terminations and calculate final payments.
Produce reports based on payroll data as required.
Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and leaders in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, including the Fair Work Act, taxation laws, and superannuation regulations when processing changes.
Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.?HR Systems (30%): Administer and maintain payroll and HR information systems (including Workday, ADP, Flare, HumanForce, CultureAmp), ensuring employee details are up to date and system access is regularly reviewed.
Troubleshoot system issues and resolve problems in a timely manner, escalating to support partners as required.
Manage contractor/consultant systems onboarding & offboarding.
Develop and maintain system documentation and user guides.
Support the implementation of system improvements/upgrades and process enhancements and ad hoc projects in the Payroll and Operations team.
Create and maintain basic business processes in Workday.
Produce regular and ad hoc reports based on system data.?What you'll bring:In-depth understanding of Workday backend functionality and managing or configuring Workday business processes.A good understanding of how Workday works - the backend, business processes.Confidence with troubleshooting, data integrity, and system admin tasks.Familiarity with monthly payroll cycles, ad hoc payments, termination calculations, and final pays.Experience preparing and submitting: STP submissions, EOFY reporting and Workers' compensation declarations.Experience with payroll reconciliation and liaising with finance teams for banking and payments.A proactive and systems orientated approach - you like looking for optimisations and don't need to be told to do something.What's in it for you?
