What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation and play a key role in streamlining and improving core processes. Working closely with the Corporate Services Director, this broad role spans finance, operations, procurement, contract management, and systems enhancement.

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to drive improvements across both financial and operational functions.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

* Support core finance operations including payroll tasks, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end processes.
* Act as a key liaison between the People Team and external payroll provider, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing.
* Coordinate organisation-wide procurement and contract management processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including documentation, process optimisation, and support for system upgrades and automation projects.

This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Caritas Australia's mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all, as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts. They will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:

* Proven experience (3–5 years) supporting finance and corporate services functions, including core finance tasks such as payroll, data integrity, compliance, and procurement.
* Comfortable working with ERPs and identifying opportunities to improve processes and support change management initiatives.
* Strong attention to detail, with a user-focused and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Friendly, open-minded, and adaptable, with a growth mindset and willingness to support across both finance and operational areas.
