What you'll do
* Curate the optimal product mix for Small Format stores by leveraging sales data and customer insights to balance core supermarket ranges with bespoke, local-market products.
* Scout and onboard emerging suppliers through commercial analysis and "test and learn" launches, ensuring a constant pipeline of innovative, high‐potential ranges.
* Strategic Promotion Management: Execute end-to-end promotional programs, utilizing ROI analysis and "Voice of Customer" KPIs to negotiate favorable supplier investment and maximize gross profit.
* Lead new product development (NPD) from pre-launch margin analysis to post-launch execution, ensuring sustained growth through strategic in-store visibility.
* Monitor financial KPIs and stakeholder feedback to proactively optimize underperforming lines and ensure planograms are fit‐for‐purpose and aligned with category goals.
What you'll bring
* Previous Assistant Category Manager experience preferred due to the importance and complexity of role
* Negotiation and influencing skills
* Willingness to learn, collaborate with the wider team and adapt with changing conditions
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Strong commercial acumen
