The Account Manager role
Reporting to the State Manager, this role will see you manage the day-to-day relationships between wholesale channel partners. These dealers consist of retail stores, managed service providers and resellers of telecommunication solutions, mainly to the SME and government markets in Victoria.
You will be given a portfolio of service provider accounts that you will partner with to grow and support their business to achieve growth. Your remit also includes upselling and cross-selling within your portfolio of accounts.
This account manager role will also see you secure new channel partners by cold calling and driving business development activities within your defined territory. You will strive to achieve business outcomes with key stakeholders and support their sales activities with joint calls to their end user customers. You will provide monthly account plans that track the good, the bad and the ugly in sales and support.
The Account Manager and Inside Account Manager we're looking for:
Ideally, you will have 3 to 5+ years of IT or telecommunications experience.
You must be a relationship-driven sales professional who takes ownership, is a team player, self-starter, excited by challenges, a strong time manager, have great communication skills, a proactive sales style and eager to develop your sales career.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
* Experience working within the telecommunication, IT or ICT industries
* Experience expanding products, services and revenues into an existing install base of customers
* Comfortable presenting to multiple stakeholders, from business owners to a board of directors
* A proven track record in challenging conventional seller/buyer transactional relationships and taking key customers on a journey to a Trusted Advisor status
* A proven track record of achievement
