What are we looking for?
We are currently seeking a proactive minded and professional General Maintenance Person/Handyman to work at Craigieburn, Full time.
Our preferred candidate will be highly focused on Workplace Health and Safety, with a natural ability to relate well to customers and all stakeholders. You will be able to work independently to attend to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Tasks, to respond efficiently to Non-Scheduled Maintenance Tasks and be able to collaborate with other services to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
About the role
Essential to the role:
* Demonstrated experience in general maintenance/handyman type work
* You must have or be prepared to obtain prior to employment a WHS General Induction (White) Card
* You must have a current (less than one month) or be prepared to obtain prior to employment a Police History Check.
Key Responsibilities
* Excellent Customer Service skills
* Liaise with all Stakeholders
* A strong focus on safety in the workplace, and a working knowledge of risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statements to operate without harm in a live retail environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence in skills ranging from minor painting, furniture repair and plastering among other things
* An ability to maintain a safe working environment at all times
* Sound installation or repairs process implementation
* Good computer literacy and ability to formulate responses and updates to work requests via electronic reporting systems
* Demonstrated ability to take ownership of service delivery
* Excellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate-appropriate
* Sound problem-solving skills
* Ability to respond to emergency situations
* Participate in all required training & inductions sessions
* Availability to work one weekend day per month. Weekend overtime available. This may also be subject to change in order to meet with customer and seasonal requirements.
