Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team. The successful applicant will work with clients and their support teams to develop positive, individualised strategies that respond to the client's needs, reduce behaviours of concern, and minimise restrictive practices.
The role involves:
* Conducting psychological assessments and interventions.
* Delivering behaviour support services to clients in accordance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
* Developing Behaviour Support Plans that meet the specific needs of clients living with disability.
* Working with client support networks, including family and NDIS providers.
* Training providers on positive behaviour strategies and implementing restrictive practices according to NDIS requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A person-centred approach.
* A genuine interest in working with people with disabilities, particularly intellectual disability.
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist.
* Experience in providing behaviour support services to people with disabilities.
* Ongoing commitment to continuing professional development.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Satisfactory completion of safety screening checks.
Benefits
This is a competitive salary negotiable based on hours worked per week and experience. The role can be full-time or part-time and offers flexibility to work from home and travel to provide services in the Newcastle and Maitland regions.

* A NSW Driver's License and registered, comprehensively insured vehicle.
