Overview
WALGA is looking for an Administration Officer, Commercial Management to provide high quality administrative support to our Preferred Supplier Program. The role will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of our supplier contracts and relationships.
This role suits an individual who enjoys customer service, thrives in structured, organised work, engages confidently with people, and builds relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. It also suits those who enjoy the systems side of administration, learning new tools, supporting others, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. You will take pride in ensuring contracts, records and enquiries are handled accurately and on time, and will continually seek ways to make things work better.
The position sits within WALGA's Commercial Management Team, which delivers the Preferred Supplier Program (PSP) and supports Local Government Members in accessing trusted suppliers, contracts and commercial advice.
In this role you will
* Support day-to-day administration of PSP contracts, including supplier onboarding, variations, compliance and enquiries
* Maintain registers, documentation and reporting, ensuring systems and data remain accurate and up to date
* Act as a key point of contact, responding to queries, picking up the phone, and guiding suppliers, Members and stakeholders through our processes and systems
* Identify opportunities to improve and streamline administrative processes
* Build exposure to commercial programs and contract environments over time

* Strong administrative experience in an office environment
* Great organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities and follow through on tasks
* Clear and confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive mindset and willingness to jump in and help where needed
