Project Coordinator Job
As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and progress tracking needs of complex projects. This involves working closely with the Contracts Manager to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project performance.
The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You must have proficiency in using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software, as well as knowledge of project controls and earned value management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage outage schedules for multiple projects.
* Analyze historical outage scheduling data to support estimate development and budgeting activities.
* Coordinate with site personnel to ensure accurate capture of project hours and physical progress.
* Update outage schedules as required by contract and deliver concise progress reports.
* Provide analysis and recommendations for potential project performance improvements.
* Analyze earned value hours for projects.
* Manage interfaces with outage subcontractor scopes within the schedule.
* Develop project controls plans and work trackers tailored to project needs.
* Work with the Project Controls Specialist to provide accurate and timely data for project reporting.
* Calculate schedule performance indices by project.
Requirements:
* Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
* Knowledge of project controls and earned value management.
* Demonstrated planning experience in major/complex power plant projects.
* Data visualization skills (converting raw data into useful metrics/charts).
* Solid working knowledge in Excel.
* Able to work independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to complete multiple projects within nominated time constraints and reporting frequencies.
* Occasional travel within ANZ may be required.
Education and Experience:
* 10+ years of demonstrated project planning experience in the power generation industry.
* Good knowledge of thermal & gas fired power plants.
* Field experience in the power generation industry on turbines or boiler plant.
* Recognized qualification in engineering or project management is desirable.
