**About the Role**:
Head of Department for Health & Physical Education will demonstrate initiative and play a leading role in supporting students' learning and the effective delivery of the HPE curriculum so that every young person has the chance to achieve their personal best.
The position leads a large team of educators and supports the school to drive the strategic agenda focused on developing capable learners.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
