Eku Energy Limited is transitioning to a low carbon, sustainable global economy and we are seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to support this transition.
As a key addition to our APAC business, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across all stages of development, with a focus on taking late-stage projects through the commercialisation and closing phase.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end development processes for utility scale BESS projects in the later stage commercialisation phase, including:
* Coordinating activities, setting project budgets, managing project schedules, developing designs, planning/permitting and liaison with stakeholders;
* Working with teams to progress projects towards an investable business case;
* Collaborating with markets and regulatory teams to commercialise projects, such as government underwriting schemes and securing offtake contracts;
* Mentoring other development managers to support their learning and development;
* Supporting pipeline growth through ad hoc business development and origination activities;
* Reporting project status and progress to senior management and escalating key issues.
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of experience in energy project development, ideally managing end-to-end development processes for renewable projects, is essential.
Strong technical and commercial skills are required, along with the ability to navigate and influence decision-making.
An excellent academic record and tertiary qualifications in a related field are necessary, as well as strong soft skills and a collaborative approach.
Short-term job targets include gaining a robust understanding of Eku's development process, meeting with key team members and establishing relationships, and taking ownership of at least two developments.
Mid-term targets include working towards financial close on one project, presenting in investment committee forums and establishing trusted relationships with external parties.
