About the role
Reporting to the National RTO Manager, this full-time RTO Quality Officer role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of St John Ambulance Australia's Registered Training Organisation (RTO). You will be responsible for overseeing the quality and compliance of our training programs and ensuring we deliver exceptional training experiences. Based in Melbourne (preferred).
What you'll be doing
* Monitoring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015, AQF, and other regulatory requirements.
* Conducting internal audits and quality assurance checks on training and assessment materials, student records, and third-party agreements.
* Supporting external audit preparations, ensuring all required documentation and evidence are in place.
* Assisting in risk management and compliance reporting, implementation of quality framework, and identifying areas for improvement.
* Coordinating and facilitating validation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training delivery.
* Providing guidance and support to trainers, assessors, and state teams on best practices for compliance and quality.
* Collaborating with third-party providers to ensure compliance and operational alignment.
Location: Canberra

What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance, Vocational Education, or a related field
* Extensive experience in a quality assurance or compliance role within a Registered Training Organisation
* Thorough understanding of the VET Quality Framework, ASQA standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality and compliance issues
* Proficient in using data analysis tools and quality management systems
* Collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to travel interstate for audits, training, and operational support.
