Mental Health Team Leader

About the Role:
The Mental Health Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of clinical services within a rural and remote health district. This includes managing mental health drug and alcohol services for local communities, working closely with the Deputy Director Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services to achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of mental health professionals in providing high-quality care to patients and their families.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve mental health outcomes and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community organizations to enhance service delivery and promote integrated care.
* Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and open communication.
* Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health treatment and services, applying this knowledge to inform decision-making and policy development.

Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications with eligibility for NSW Registration/Professional Association where relevant.
* Significant clinical experience within relevant mental health service including management experience and responsibility.
* Demonstrated experience leading, developing the capability and capacity of a team, incorporating feedback through codesign processes.
* High level organisational skills, change management skills, and flexible work practice to meet the needs of service delivery which is demanding and changeable.
* Demonstrated Human Resource management that includes performance improvement, identifying strengths of the team and managing self in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance frameworks and how they apply to the day-to-day operations.
* Demonstrated behaviours that reinforce the CORE values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect, Empowerment.
* Valid unrestricted driving license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
