We're seeking a skilled Finance Manager based in Darwin to lead financial systems, reporting, and compliance across diverse community enterprises.
This is a chance to use your expertise where it truly matters — supporting local jobs, agriculture, and the development of a new Registered Training Organisation (RTO). You'll work closely with the CEO and Board to deliver accurate insights, sound governance, and strong financial performance.
If you're looking for a meaningful leadership role that blends professional challenge with community impact, Wirrum Dawang offers a rewarding opportunity grounded in integrity, collaboration, and cultural respect.

* Manage the full finance function, including budgeting, payroll, cash flow, and reporting.
* Oversee compliance with ACNC, ASIC, and ATO obligations, ensuring strong financial governance and accountability.
* Provide accurate, timely financial insights to support the CEO and Board in strategic decision-making.
* Support project and program managers with grant budgeting, acquittals, and performance reporting.
* Liaise with auditors, funders, and partners to maintain high standards of financial management and transparency.
About You
You're a values-driven and detail-oriented professional who can balance strategic oversight with practical delivery. You will bring:
* CPA/CA qualification and proven financial management experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of financial management experience required.
* Strong understanding of accounting and compliance frameworks for not-for-profit or Aboriginal organisations.
* Experience in RTO financial management or funding compliance will be highly regarded.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to ethical, transparent, and accountable financial practice.
* An understanding of, and genuine respect for, Aboriginal culture and communities.
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship required.
Why Join Wirrum Dawang
* Contribute to a growing Aboriginal organisation creating meaningful employment, training, and community outcomes.
