We are seeking a highly skilled Key Animation Talent to join our team in enhancing shots for an upcoming feature film.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with directors and animation leadership to produce high-quality animations that meet the project's vision and goals.
* Generate complex animation cycles for crowd simulations and animate background characters in standalone shots, ensuring seamless integration with other animated elements.
* Develop high-quality animations and cycles for the crowd team, maintaining consistency and excellence throughout the project.
* Assist in aesthetic or technical fixes for animations, including intersections, eyelines, motion, cloth adjustments, and overall polish of shots, to deliver exceptional visual quality.
* Participate in animation reviews to identify problem areas and communicate fix trends to animation leads, driving improvement and efficiency.
* Support animation leadership in delivering high-quality shots by creating, finishing, and fixing performances within tight timelines, while meeting project requirements.
* Learn the feature animation pipeline, including its technical requirements between animation and other departments, to ensure smooth collaboration and optimal results.
Requirements
* Understand fundamental animation principles and possess an excellent sense of story, pacing, continuity, and appeal, ensuring all animations align with the project's creative vision.
* Be a team player with creative imagination, problem-solving skills, and self-management abilities, able to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.
* Showcase your strongest animation performances in a 2-minute reel, demonstrating believable expressions, emotional depth, weight, physics, and entertainment value.
* Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software is preferred but not required, as we are open to talent with diverse skill sets.
* 1+ years of animation experience in feature films, VFX, TV, or games, with a focus on developing expertise in key animation techniques.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration and feedback exchange within the team.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and mutual support.
* Will to continuously improve and inspire others, driving growth and excellence throughout the project.
