About the Role
The Australian and Queensland governments have jointly committed significant funding to the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program, a 80:20 funding arrangement. This initiative aims to reduce crash severity and frequency on the Bruce Highway, particularly between Gympie and Cairns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of professionals to ensure program activities are undertaken in accordance with Transport and Motoring requirements and industry best-practice.
* Manage stakeholder engagement for the program with key government agencies and provide specialist advice to senior management.
* Create a high-performing team and foster a positive work culture that reflects collaboration, respect, efficiency, and inclusion.
* Collaborate with the broader BHTSP teams across the state and the BHTSP PMO to ensure consistency of delivery and technical practices.
* Investigate, manage and resolve complex engineering and contractual issues associated with the program.
* Deliver various construction contract options through procurement and delivery phases to foster industry involvement.
* Monitor and report on program progress through submissions and reports relating to planning, design and technical issues.
This position is available in Bundaberg, Gympie or Toowoomba. Applications remain current for 12 months.
