Remote Area Nurse opportunity with an Aboriginal Health Service based in the Northern Territory. Curis Recruitment is partnering with the service to find an experienced Remote Area Nurse to join the team.
Details
* Contracts available from 4 weeks up to 6 weeks
* Contracts available starting March and April 2026
* $95 per hour Monday - Friday day (6.30am to 6.30pm)
* $105 per hour Monday - Saturday afterhours (after 6.30pm Monday to Friday or Saturday)
* $183 per hour on a Sunday
* + other penalties apply for overtime, on call, etc.
* Commencing November, December — available to book now
* Fully furnished housing provided
* Return travel within Australia provided
* Comprehensive support provided throughout your contract from our dedicated recruitment team
* $1000 starting bonus
Your Role
You will be working for an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem region and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. The service strives to provide culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary healthcare to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. You will be working in the East Arnhem Land part of the Northern Territory. As part of your role as Remote Area Nurse you will mentor students and Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs), support AHPs as the primary health carers within the community, and work to build stronger communities together with the wider team.
Essential Criteria
* AHPRA registration with no restrictions
* REC, MEC, ALS, NT ISTAT certificate
* Current Manual Driver's License
* At least 3 years of post-graduate experience with advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to remote settings (including triage, ability to work independently, and participation in afterhours emergency calls and first response)
* Willing to travel in small charter planes; the ability to drive a 4WD is favourable
* Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
