Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Business Capability team. This role provides high-level administrative support, requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across the team and with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate tasks and team activities in a fast-paced environment
Manage shared inboxes, process emails, and complete accurate data entry
Prepare correspondence, documents, and reports to support projects
Anticipate team needs and provide proactive administrative support
Communicate clearly with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
Balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure attention to detail
Essential Skills:
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Proven experience prioritising tasks and managing competing deadlines
Experience working with and supporting multiple stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative systems
Initiative, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly Desirable Skills:
Previous experience in an assistant or executive support role
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across multiple teams
Experience in a government or large organisation setting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships
