The Role
* Provides proactive, responsive and effective senior executive assistance.
* Manages and maintains the diary ensuring that the necessary briefing notes, agendas, correspondence and presentations are available prior to meetings.
* Prioritises all matters including incoming calls and correspondence and follows up on outstanding matters.
* Proofreads, edits and prepares Ministerial correspondence, reports, briefing papers and presentations as required.
* Organises high-level meetings, presentations and functions.
* Manages and coordinates departmental participation with visiting international delegations, including developing presentation programs involving appropriate subject matter experts as required.
* Undertakes research and analysis as required.
* Liaises with members of the Corporate Executive, staff and external stakeholders and follows up actions.
* Coordinates and arranges itineraries and travel arrangements.
* Undertakes purchasing in accordance with delegated authority, maintains expenditure records and processes accounts.
* Provides administrative support to internal, and where required, external committees including agendas, minutes and follow up actions.
* Assists the Office of the Director General and the Departmental Coordination Unit as required
