Director of Global Operations and Emerging Markets
This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing global operational functions, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives. The Director plays a pivotal role in planning policies, setting standards, and managing operational frameworks to maximize efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Policy Development:
* Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and growth.
* Establish key performance metrics and operational standards to align with business objectives and industry best practices.
* Assess changing situations, market conditions, and emerging trends to adjust operational strategies accordingly.
* Lead and coordinate global and regional operational policies to maintain consistency across markets.
2. Australia and APAC Market Focus:
* Develop and execute a localized operational strategy for the Australian market, ensuring market-specific needs are met while maintaining alignment with global standards.
* Serve as the primary operational leader for us in Australia, ensuring smooth expansion and operational readiness in the region.
* Establish and maintain partnerships with Australian beekeepers, industry stakeholders, and key vendors to facilitate growth and scalability.
* Ensure compliance with local Australian regulations and industry standards.
* Act as the main point of contact for Australian operations, ensuring that customer support, field operations, and logistics are seamlessly managed.
3. Global and Regional Operations Oversight:
* Direct and manage global field operations, ensuring effective hardware production, maintenance, logistics, and implementation.
* Optimize supply chain management, procurement processes, and inventory controls to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards across different operational regions.
4. High-Level Administrative and Financial Management:
* Oversee budget preparation, cost management, and financial planning to support sustainable operations.
* Develop resource allocation plans to optimize financial and human capital utilization.
* Provide strategic guidance on facility management, vendor negotiations, and operational investments.
* Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and data-driven recommendations to senior management.
5. Operational Leadership and Staff Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to ensure high performance, efficiency, and professional growth.
* Provide clear direction to subordinate staff and regional operational teams, ensuring policy and strategy execution.
* Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and operational knowledge.
6. Customer and Market Engagement:
* Act as the primary liaison between operational functions and customer support teams to enhance service quality and issue resolution.
* Develop strategies to improve the customer experience, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards.
* Represent us in negotiations, industry conventions, public forums, and strategic discussions to strengthen market presence.
* Build and maintain partnerships with key vendors, stakeholders, and government entities to facilitate smooth scaling of operations.
7. Project Management and Continuous Improvement:
* Oversee and drive cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Identify and implement process improvements and technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency.
* Ensure the creation and maintenance of operational documentation, safety protocols, and compliance guidelines.
* Analyze complex operational challenges and provide strategic solutions to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience in global operations, supply chain, and logistics across multiple regions, including Australia, APAC, the U.S., and Israel.
* Senior leadership experience managing high-impact, cross-functional teams and large-scale operational frameworks.
* MBA, with a focus on Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Strategy.
* Fluency in English and Hebrew, with exceptional communication skills for global collaboration.
* Expertise in IoT, hardware deployment, and technology-driven operations, integrating field operations, R&D, and logistics.
* Proven success in scaling operations in emerging markets and driving market expansion.
* Hands-on financial oversight, budget forecasting, and cost management to optimize operational efficiency.
* Experience in high-level industry negotiations, vendor management, and strategic partnerships.
* Ability to manage cross-functional teams across time zones, ensuring seamless execution of global strategies.
* Strong understanding of agriculture and technology, including pollination, beekeeping, RF and cellular communication, and hardware manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Startup or high-growth environment experience with a focus on scaling operations.
* Industry experience in agritech, IoT, or hardware manufacturing.
* Multilingual capabilities relevant to global markets.
