At Sonnex, we're seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team in Elizabeth South, Adelaide SA. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for overtime. The successful candidate will be expected to work five days a week and be available for additional shifts as required. After a 6-month probationary period, the successful applicant will be made permanent. All applications will be kept confidential.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Brake Press Machine and a strong understanding of the sheet metal manufacturing industry. Essential skills include:
* Programming the required bends for each job
* Loading and verifying the correct tools for each task
* Bending parts according to technical drawings
* Ensuring parts meet specified tolerances
* Maintaining the machine and keeping all equipment in good working order
* Performing preventative maintenance
* Keeping the workstation clean and organized
* Following job list priorities
* Producing parts to meet required standards
* Reporting any issues or non-conformances to the Production Co-ordinator
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess:
* Experience in operating a Brake Press Machine
* A solid understanding of the sheet metal manufacturing industry
* Effective time management skills
* Good computer skills
* A current forklift licence
