Join the Occupational Therapy team at Maryborough Hospital as a Senior Occupational Therapist and take the next step in your career. The purpose of this role is to deliver Senior Occupational Therapy services to eligible in and outpatients within Orthopaedics, Surgical caseloads or other areas of complex clinical need as required, within the WBHHS. This includes:

* Delivering high quality evidence based Occupational Therapy clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.
* Contribution to the advancement of quality Occupational Therapy services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
* Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning, and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
* Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).

What we're looking for:

* Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in two or more clinical areas as an advanced generalist within Occupational Therapy.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a complex health care team, demonstrating a high level of communication skills, flexibility and a co-operative approach.
* Demonstrated ability to provide Occupational Therapy clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and, if applicable, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Our offer

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,360 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
