We are seeking an experienced actuary to lead our dynamic team, providing strategic insights that drive financial performance and organisational outcomes.
You will join a small team of talented actuaries and analysts working on actuarial pricing, portfolio analytics, claims dashboarding and capital management for a broad range of insurance classes.
This involves working with senior stakeholders to undertake regular work, projects and present at committees and working groups. Due to the diversity and complexity of risks covered, you will be using your actuarial skills to solve complex and contemporary insurance matters.
Your key responsibilities will include managing the delivery of regular annual work, ad hoc requests and projects supported by the Actuaries Services team.
You will also seek to continuously improve the way the team delivers its work, including maintenance of actuarial models, analyses, and data processes.
About You:
* You have advanced communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to positively engage and influence stakeholders.
* You have demonstrated capability for strategic and conceptual thinking and planning.
* You have at least 5 years' experience in an actuarial role (general insurance and/or reinsurance industry preferred).
* You have at least 2 years' experience managing projects and/or people.
* You have proven solid programming experience.
Qualifications:
* You are a Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (preferred).
* You hold tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline, such as actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
