ING Australia is seeking a Lead DevTest Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the IT Area Lead, you will enhance existing or develop new test frameworks for Tribes and provide guidance on problem-solving.
This role involves creating testing strategies considering processes, technologies, frameworks, roles, and maturity levels in test automation adoption.

What you'll do
* Build, maintain, and enhance test automation scripts and frameworks, including infrastructure, test data, and execution practices.
* Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, proactively identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Lead testing efforts across projects through effective planning, scheduling, oversight, and execution.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices and drive value-adding initiatives.
* Manage personal responsibilities while nurturing a high-performing testing team.
What are we looking for?
* Strong programming skills in Java and C#, with a focus on API testing and automation using Java.
* Skilled in Agile methodologies, with a deep understanding of functional, regression, and acceptance testing.
* Experience in implementing test automation reporting frameworks and trend analysis strategies.
* Familiarity with event streaming tools e.g., Kafka.
* Ability to define effective test data management strategies within CI/CD environments.
* Hands-on experience with performance testing using JMeter.
* Strong advocate of TDD and BDD practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
* Tertiary qualification in computer science or a related discipline.
