Provide workers compensation claims and injury management support services to a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries.
**The Role**
**Provide claims consulting services to a portfolio of clients, this includes.**
- Provide advice and advocacy across the fundamental drivers that impact frequency, severity and duration of workers' compensation claims
- Provide advice and support through the initial stages of an injury and potential high-risk claims
- Engage in regular and ongoing discussions with the Insurer ensuring initial and ongoing claims management strategies are implemented and appropriate investigations are conducted until claim finalisation
- Participate in claims reviews, case conferences and other strategic claim meetings as required, to drive outcomes
- Provide a help desk service for technical advice
- Represent clients at formal and informal proceedings as required (e.g., District Court, Workcover WA)
**Provide end to end return to work and injury management services to a portion of SME clients, this includes.**
- Provide an initial point of contact for work-related injuries to undertake initial triage and set the RTW strategy in consultation with the key client stakeholders
- Provide day to day management of workers compensation claims including, claim lodgements, certificate management, development of RTW plans, develop, action and monitor claim management strategies
- Facilitate the collaboration between the injured worker, key client stakeholders, insurers, rehab providers, lawyers and medical providers to ensure swift claims closure whilst minimising expense
- Regular attendance at client meetings, including site visits, with key stakeholders to drive cost efficient outcomes
**Other Duties Include**:
- Collaboration with the workplace risk team and brokers, locally and nationally
- Manage and maintain strategic relationships with Insurers and Service Providers
- Contribute towards business development
**The Requirements**
- Substantial injury management or workers' compensation/industry experience is essential
- Proven experience in complex workers compensation and related matters
- Demonstrated understanding of claims management processes
- Excellent oral communication both on individual and group basisExcellent report writing and correspondence skills
